HumanWare has reduced prices on two of its portable video magnifiers
The SmartView 360 (reduced from $2,195 to $1,999) is portable magnifier that enables low-vision users to enlarge text and images for close reading or distance viewing. The CCTV has an auto-focus digital camera that can be positioned to view books, blackboards, and even one's own face for applying makeup.
The SmartView Versa+ (reduced from $925 to $695) adds multimedia functionality -- including the ability to play music, watch video, and make voice recordings -- to a handheld with 15X magnification.
