Sometimes, small adaptations are all a person with a disability needs to increase independence, move more freely in their home or neighborhood, or explore new possibilities.

Unfortunately, accessibility needs are so specific to an individual, it's hard to find solutions among existing commercial products and service providers.

The Tetra Society of North America is an organization whose volunteers create the ad hoc solutions designed to enhance lives.

Whether it's adapting a wheelchair for a camera mount, or a controller to enable a boy with quadriplegia to play video games, the Tetra Society -- based in Vancouver, British Columbia --  represents the inclusive thinking that breaks down barriers one challenge at a time.
