Last week, Ai Squared released ZoomText Mac, screen magnification software designed to make Mac OS X (10.7 & up) machines more accessible to persons with visual impairments.
The program magnifies what's displayed onscreen up to 36x, maintains clarity when enlarging text, and provides tools for adjusting contrast and making objects such as the cursor and mouse pointer easier to see and find.
Mac OS X comes with a built-in magnification called Zoom. This application, however, can't track onscreen elements, keep text crisp when enlarging, or provide color filtering. ZoomText Mac can.
